No Water Consumption on WEJ885?

The problem

Hello,
Miele WEJ885 WCS washing machine: water consumption sensor stuck at 0L in HA (works in Miele@home app), energy underreports (1.9kWh HA (Nov) vs 8.8kWh Miele@Home App for November).
They are both enabled and If I start a cycle it does nothing to water consumption...


Bug details:
Water always shows 0L even during/after cycles where app reports usage. Energy tracks but ~1/4 of app total. Using HA Miele integration. Expect ecoFeedback API to provide currentWaterConsumption/currentEnergyConsumption (resets post-cycle OK, but 0L is wrong).
Setup info:
• HA version:Latest
• Model: WEJ885 WCS
• Network stable, app data fine.
Is this due to missing API support from miele? Can check raw state payload? Water not critical (have main meter), but energy dashboard inaccurate mmmh

This is most likely a fault in Miele's end.
Please get a diagnostic download from the device page when you have been running a program for 10 minutes or more. Look for ecofeedback in the file. There you can see exactly what tha API delivers.

And please note that this version of the integration is not maintained anymore. I recommend you to switch over to the official integration.

Strangly enough I removed the Hacs one , and tried the Core one . But it still shows the Red Box . There is nothing left in the file editor from miele. So what's with that ? Can't seem to figure it out

It looks like there are a bunch of files left somewhere.

Try following to make sure everything from the custom component is cleaned out:

1. Delete the currently installed integration from HA: Select Delete from the three-dot- menu in the screenshot above.
2. Delete the repo from HACS: Open HACS menu, open the three-dot menu to the right om Miele and select Delete.
3. Restart HA from Developer tools menu, select Restart, open Advanced options and select Reboot system.
4. Install Terminal & SSH add-on if you have not done that previously.
5. Execute rm -r homeassistant/custom_components/miele
6. Restart HA from Developer tools menu, select Restart, open Advanced options and select Reboot system.

Your Meile devices should now be discovered automatically and you should be able to initiate the installation by clicking on the Miele discovery card. If no device is discovered you must click on + Add integration and select Miele.
