Fan marked as off in HA if heating plates is off

The problem

When the fan in the table top hob with integrated fan is turned on without turning on a heating plate, the hob turns off and marks the fan as off too even though the fan is still running.
Hob: KMDA7676
Firmware: 02.80
Hardware: EK039W

Additional information

Recreate issue:

Hob:
Turn on hob
Turn on fan (any level) - do not tun on heat plate
Hob times out and shuts off
Fan keeps running
