Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share that SOCA is evolving. As part of our ongoing improvements and upcoming releases, we’ve officially renamed the project to Engineering Development Hub (EDH).

This isn’t just a name change, it reflects a broader vision to better support engineering workflows, collaboration, and development at scale. Moving forward, all new features, updates, and communications will be under the Engineering Development Hub name.

What this means for you:

• Same core platform you’re familiar with
• Continued enhancements and new capabilities coming soon
• Updated naming across documentation, releases, and discussions

📦 EDH 26.4 – What’s New

Here’s what’s included in the latest release:

• 🌍 Support for AWS European Sovereign Cloud (EUSC)

EDH now supports deployment in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud environment.

• 🔐 Improved Active Directory Configuration

Automatic deactivation (enabled by default) of the 42-day password expiration policy when deploying AWS Directory Service Managed AD.

• 🖥️ Nested Virtualization Control

Users can now choose to enable or disable nested virtualization on EC2 instances.

• 🎨 Complete UI Revamp

A refreshed user interface inspired by the official AWS CloudScape design framework for a more modern and consistent experience.

• ⚙️ Native Support for AWS Batch

Run and scale batch computing workloads seamlessly with integrated AWS Batch capabilities, improving job orchestration and resource efficiency.

• The Github repo name has been updated to https://github.com/awslabs/engineering-development-hub (the old URL will automatically redirects you to the new one)
