Welcome!
This project came about as a result of my desire to generate batch PDF input, both valid and invalid, for an application I authored in my corporate days (Pitney Bowes - Relay Integrity Pro). As part of that process I started thinking (as you do) about other scenarios where such data creation would be useful - and I ended up building what is now called Synthed.
Initially it was just an interesting private side-project in a wider solution but I decided that as fun as it was, it was not something that I wanted to have as part of my mailing application, and so I hived it off into its own repository.
Which is what you now see. I think it is pretty robust and ticks a lot of boxes for data engineers looking to create test data completely divorced from live data and also provides a solid foundation for improvement and customisation.
I released this under MIT license, so feel free to use it in any way that you wish.
All the best
Barry
