The new Bluetooth DAC feature works surprisingly well and is probably my favorite addition.
I found one reproducible issue while testing it.
Firmware: Hiby R1 Mod 1.8.b1
Steps to reproduce:
Enable Bluetooth DAC mode.
Connect a phone (tested with a Nothing Phone (1) using LDAC).
Start playing music from the phone.
Press any playback button on the R1 (Play/Pause or Next).
Expected behavior:
The playback buttons should control the connected Bluetooth source (or simply do nothing).
Actual behavior:
The R1 exits Bluetooth playback and starts playing the previously opened local music instead.
Bluetooth audio stops working.
When trying to disconnect the Bluetooth connection afterward, the device freezes and requires a reboot.
Notes:
If I never press the playback buttons, Bluetooth DAC works perfectly.
Audio quality is excellent, and LDAC connects correctly at 96 kHz.
The issue only appears after interacting with the hardware playback controls.
