Unable to set width to wrap_content

need to start horizontal listview from right but the width it take is fill_parent and also not able to set gravity

Managed to make it work, now the content width is set to wrap_content

Add this function to the component class file.
public void resetPosition() {

    if (mContext != null && mAdapter != null) {

        DisplayMetrics metrics = mContext.getResources()
                .getDisplayMetrics();
        int width = metrics.widthPixels;

        if (mAdapter.getCount() * mChildWidth > 0
                && mAdapter.getCount() * mChildWidth < width) {

            Log.e("child width", "child: " + mAdapter.getCount()
                    + ": width:" + mChildWidth + "");

            setLayoutParams(new LinearLayout.LayoutParams(
                    mAdapter.getCount() * mChildWidth, 300));
        }
    }
}

After you set the adapter/notifydatasetchanged

call the function like

yourHorizontalListView.post(new Runnable() {

            @Override
            public void run() {
                // TODO Auto-generated method stub
                yourHorizontalListView.resetPosition();

            }
        }); 

Worked in my case.

Forgot to mention to get the width of child "mChildWidth",

private void positionItems(final int dx) {
for (int i = 0; i < getChildCount(); i++) {
View child = getChildAt(i);
int childWidth = child.getMeasuredWidth();
child.layout(left, 0, left + childWidth,
child.getMeasuredHeight());
left += childWidth;

//get child width
mChildWidth = childWidth;
}
}

I write a demo (HorizontalListViewDemo4WrapFromRight) for you. :)
simple code like this:

hListView.setSelectionFromLeft(apr.getCount() - 1, 10000);
