Wave currently targets the good old .NET Framework 4.8. An update to a newer version e.g. .NET 9 would probably bring a lot of benefits, not least of all future-proofness. Also, builtin dark-mode (#213) :-)
I think it should still be possible to stick with WinForms as the UI framework, switching to e.g. XAML would be a lot of additional work and not necessarily an improvement I think.
