K2, Stack inserters, Research

Currently in my playthrough with all BZ mods, K2 and 248k (+some more, no SE), Stack inserters are researched with Basic/Auto/Logi Tech cards. However, they require a Titanium plate in the recipe. Problem is, the Titanium plate research is much later down the tech tree, requiring Auto/Logi/Chem tech cards.
Was just wondering if this was intended.
