Dear authors and developers of cryostar,
First of all thank you for developing cryostar for analyzing heterogeneity in cryo-EM datasets.
I have obtained quite interesting volumes and models for a heterogeneous reconstruction.
However, I have some doubts regarding model bias, especially because the part in question is highly flexible and the model is uncertain (see for a relevant discussion here ).
I would be more convinced if it was possible to reconstruct the respective particle stack separately in Relion (and/or cryoSPARC).
Would it be possible to implement a function to write out particle.star file corresponding to the output volumes? Similar to the functions that have been implemented in cryoDRGN?, i.e. 8.3) Extracting particles for traditional refinement OR Converting OR Filtering to a .star file.
Best wishes,
Tim
