Colors in diagrams

Hi, thanks for your work with this beatiful library.
I wondered if it would be possible to show colors in the diagram like colored lines or shapes?

We consider many extensions including colors too. I m happy to inform you that the latest version already has internal reservations for colors. Because this free library is driven by user opinion and suggestions, you are most welcome to propose coloring implementation, which you would like to see. We cannot guarantee that we will implement all your suggestions. But we will surely consider them with all attention.

Thanks for your answer. I need this for some educational work. Is there a possibility to implement this myself? Of course my code could be used for your work if it is good enough.

Formally, a proposal for diagram colors is written here:
https://github.com/bpmn-miwg/bpmn-in-color

For us it is very inconvenient to implement because it implies additional attributes not covered in standard BPMN schema by OMG.

Coloring diagram itself on the fly (without permanent storage in BPMN file) is much simpler and has a merit for various use cases. If you wish, we will add respective methods in coordination with you.

You might then extend the GUI with a sort of graphical color box to change color of elements on diagram. GUI project is very simple. We will definitely welcome any extensions to it.

are there any news about this issue? I would like to color single rectangles in the graph, after a task is completed. Is this possible with this library? Do you might have an example how to do this? I am using Asp.Net and MVC. My guess is to load the model in the controller, search for the element that was completed, color the element, save the model again and load it in the view. But I don't know how I could color an element.
