[Bug] If your `git` is older than 2.46, there is no `--branches` flag

On Ubuntu 24.10 (Oracular), git 1.2.45 is installed. On this version, git ls-remote doesn't have --branches. I think it is called --heads.

To fix this, when we package it in a snap, make git requirements correct
