Hi!
I'm trying to run RepeatObserver on my computer, with 32 Gb of RAM and 8 CPUs.
I was able to run it successfully with Vinis genome. However, there are some errors with my genome of interest (several chromosomes > 150 Mb in size) which are likely to memory issues.
I wonder whether there is a way of either:
-
Run it locally by adjusting somehow the memory and CPU resources: using only 1 CPUs? or just a few? since the software consumes almost of my RAM despite adjusting the memory and RAM options. I was able to run it but occasional memory error make me doubt about the reliability of the results.
-
Run it on a cluster (SGE or SLURM) with no proper GPU implemented. I'm working on it now but all comments and suggestions are welcomed.
All the best,
