Cannot do Full Page Images or Tables

Often you want a full page image, with just the heading. Or similar with a table. 

Or it may be helpful to use Word tables to 'batch' a whole lot of images/tables on a single page. LaTeX does this--or at least claims to do so.

But these macros do not support that. They need a single line on the page for the anchor. 

How to fix that?
