while the code base might implement certain details more specifically and thoroughly, we are aiming for a generic solution. omniload is currently able to process XML data 1 and also includes a connector for MongoDB 2. In this spirit, omniload might already cover a subset of what the simple-xml-import project can do. It would be sweet to know if there are any gaps or other shortcomings that could be addressed in omniload to increase its matureness.
If you happen to have a few minutes to spare, we will be happy about any feedback to make omniload a true polyglot jack-of-all-trades that can easily support also potentially more advanced use case scenarios like yours, if it doesn't do yet.
