Is the OpenTechpack standard going to be based on ISO 8559-1:2017 measurements?

Hi Yannis. The industry should move to a standard to allow for the comparison of anthropometric data sets. At an OpenTechPack level and to ensure maximum capabilities, we want the creators to specify the units of all measurements. So instead of capturing just a size/quantity/number, you need to provide a unit of measure too.

I just wondered if ISO-8559:1 could be a good starting point. It could definitely be expanded but I think it could be a good reference for antropometric data exchange. Do you already have a proposal for standardising the BOM etc? I’m not aware of existing standards in the industry but I’d love to learn and help improve them.

Let's experiment with ISO-8559:1.
I will upload a BOM xls file as a starting point.

Alright, I'm working on getting ISO-8559:1 into json so we can work with it easily.

Seam/Assembly type + Pattern symbols (notch/fold/grainline) should all be SVGd/standardized for machine readability.

We could create a folder in this project for the SVG's, how do you suggest we attach the meta information to each file - would you consider e.g. hem_seam.svg and hem_seam.meta.json ?
