  of craft tales and is asked, one axis at a time, what it will hold to —

  with what is needed to produce them again. Measurement is handed to a
  separate benchmark rather than performed here, so a run the judge marked
  self-judged cannot reach a threshold, and a gate that could not measure
  holds instead of passing.
