checkout is a mess. no payment confirmation to the shop

Hello, there is an issue with the module.
as soon as the customer hits the "order" button to confirm his order and gets redirected to coingate, the order iis created with "awaiting coingate payment" but this status never changes.
second: when he goes back to the order page or checkout with his browser or mouse button (one page backwards) then the order is confirmed anyway with the same status. but the payment was never done. --> maybe he wanted to change payment method? impossible because the order is confirmed and his cart is empty. -> maybe he misclicked and still wants to pay with coingate? impossible because there is no link on the order page and the cart is, as mentioned, empty and the order is already confirmed

this is prestashop 1.7.4.2 and php 7.2

please fix this.

Regarding the first question, I tested out by marking it as paid, waiting for expiration and marking it as invalid and canceling it here you can see that it updated(it updated both on the client and admin side):

Maybe you could provide more details on what you did that it would not update? Maybe it was running on localhost? In this case, the orders will never update as we do not send callbacks.

Regarding the second inquiry please confirm if I did it right:

1. Took 1 item to my shopping basket from the store.
2. Filled in the relevant details (name, address, etc.).
3. Chose to pay with CoinGate and got redirected to CoinGate invoice.
4. Chose currency ETH and pressed pay.
5. Without paying I pressed the back button.

After these steps, the situation that you described did not happen (order did not get confirmed on the customers side).

Hello, it seems like (1) only happens when in demo mode.. i tested it again in live mode and the status "invalid" or "expired" was shown correctly. i couldn't test it with a payment since i dont have any btc or else.
It is an online hosted installation (a2hosting) and i was in Test mode on coingate when describing the error.

However, the order is still created as soon as the customer clicks the "Confirm order, proceed to payment" button. so over time there will be a lot of useless orders or even lost customers.

i took the exact same steps as you did, so why we have a different result? 0.o
Can you tell me, which PS and PHP Version you are using?
right now i use php 7.1 as 7.2 gave too many errors, Prestashop coding of the 1.7 version is not the best i think..

if you want me to test something i can do with my installation, but i switched to woocommerce in the meantime for selling and have no errors at all :)
