Is there a plan to replace Nixpacks with Railpack since Nixpacks is no longer actively maintained? #7480

It is already planned to include Railpack in Coolify v5. You can read more about that here. We recently had this discussions internally already before your post, whether or not to replace Nixpacks with Railpack in v4 already. Andras attempted it in the past, but it turned out a little bit more difficult then expected. The team is trying to reach out to the Railpack developers to get some assistance on that end to potentially make that happen. Can't give any ETA for that either. Regarding Nixpacks plans itself, you should reach out to the Nixpacks developers themselves. The Coolify team did not create Nixpacks, it's just a piece of technology Coolify is borrowing. I've been told by a Nixpacks contributer that Nixpacks is already supporting Node 24. Please keep in mind that the core developer team of Coolify consist in just 2 people, Andras and Peak. Me and e.g. Shadow are mainly helping moderating Discord or GitHub. So it's difficult to give estimates when or if a feature will make it into Coolify, as there could always be more important or breaking changes that have a higher priority the developers need to take care of. |

Hi everyone,
as many have noticed, Nixpacks appears to be no longer actively maintained and seems to be in a “maintenance mode.” Because of that, I’m wondering:
Is there any plan or intention to replace Nixpacks with Railpack in the future?
If so, is there a timeline or migration plan?
If not, can we still expect Nixpacks to support newer Node.js versions (e.g., 24.x), or is it recommended to migrate to Railpack sooner rather than later?
I'd appreciate any insights or experiences. Thanks!
