However, there might be a need where I want to intercept all the getString methods of the system, but instead of using Crowdin's solution, I prefer to handle the internationalization logic myself.

Implementing your own interception system for text retrieval involves considering many issues, and you have essentially addressed all of them. It is, in fact, a universal solution and is not closely tied to Crowdin.
