Perhaps there were future plans for @google/genai. As I was working with other changes it was bumped to a version that whose dependencies had vulnerabilities. As it was not in use, I removed it.
I see now that with its current version there are no vulnerabilities, but as it is not implemented anywhere, it may be best to remove it.
