Referencing jsdoc3Template without the scrip

I would like to use jsdoc3Template explicitly by either by pointing jsdoc to the jsdoc3Template directory through the command line options for jsdoc (-t) or from within a configuration (conf.json) file. Currently I get a bevy or errors when I try to reference the template without the script

I am getting the same errors ... require.paths can no longer be used? and many other errors

Need better instructions for getting this to work, I haven't a clue how to get this working now.
