Looking for an update on schema.org/usNPI and Data Commons NPI datasets #1054

Hi there,
Late 2023 a request was made over at schema.org's repo to add a usNPI property to that vocabulary, while also making some changes to its Physician class and introducing new PhysiciansOffice and IndividualPhysician classes, because Data Commons was interested in publishing various NPI datasets. An initiative @hareesh-ms was taking the lead on.
However, when I was searching datacommons.org for NPI-based information I wasn't able to find any. Which could well be becase I was looking in the wrong place, though it made me remember the initiative over at schema.org and became curious to find out what came of it.
Now I noticed your schema.mcf file hasn't been updated to align with the changes made over at schema.org at your request. So I am wondering, what has come of the initiative, and are there any future plans?
