What are you trying to accomplish?

I'm filtering pre-release tags from version updates by checking both the semantic version format and the GitHub Releases API prerelease flag to prevent Dependabot from suggesting pre-release versions as updates.

Anything you want to highlight for special attention from reviewers?

How will you know you've accomplished your goal?

  • Existing tests are passing
  • Added new Tests
  • Confirmed the behavior with CLI
