Currently, the KVM feature auto-connects even when the system is running ISM. To improve user experience and prevent unintended KVM sessions, the following enhancements are proposed:
- If the system is in ISM mode, the KVM tab should be hidden.
- Instead, create an IDER tab that provides relevant functionality for ISM systems.
- The IDER button can remain as-is on the KVM tab for non-ISM systems, with no changes required there.
Rationale
This approach avoids potential confusion or unwanted KVM connections when the system is under ISM while still making IDER functionality accessible.
Ideas for implementation:
- Detect ISM status and conditionally render the KVM and IDER tabs.
- Ensure users in ISM have direct access to IDER capabilities without the risk of triggering a KVM connection.
If there are alternative suggestions for managing KVM and IDER in ISM, they can be discussed in this issue.
