Constrain items in rows

Hello,

Gridster looks awesome, but I need a feature to make it perfect.
I want it to help me create responsive designs using Foundation framework.

Foundation is working on a row-basis, so I need to declare rows, then cols.
Actually, items can be on multiple rows, and that can't be reproduced on Foundation.

So I look for a way to force the items to be on one row :

Any idea about how I can do that ? Do you think it will be hard to code ?
