Doesn't work unless quotes are used.

Hi all,

Am I doing something wrong? The examples in the description say I should use it like this

banner: [[path/image.jpg]]

but it only seems to work for me if I put the filename in quotes like this

banner: "[[path/image.jpg]]"

All my files (over 9000 of them) have the banner written the first way which works with pixel banner plugin, but I find that plugin to be sluggish, so I want to swap to simple banner, but I don't want to have to go through all my files again to update them.

Any Ideas?

I think Pixel banner is not correct in this case. When linking to files it should be in quotes for proper frontmatter.

You can see here the warning when removing the quotes. it "works" but its not valid. You'll have to update (over 9000) notes. I suggest finding a linting tool to help you. Or if you can write a bit of code write a parser for that specific property.

FYI, Pixel Banner supports a few different formats and lets you specify which you'd like to use in the settings menu. A feature added by user request. All of Pixel Banner's features were based on GitHub issue submissions or comments in the Discord channel.

Not every plugin can match every users needs, but I would love to hear the details on how you think it it "sluggish". We are always looking to improve where/if possible.
