I believe the custom backoff scheduler currently matches on subsumed rows.
I am working on a number of scheduler changes to accommodate trying to port an egg-like project to egglog, so I have a fix for this included in that. Once it stabilizes I can figure out how to phase the review process, but wanted to open this to give others a heads up.
