vertical gesture not doing what is expected

I noticed that if i'm using simulator the gestures are fine specially the vertical gestures but when I test it on the device when you do a vertical gestures instead of doing like a normal up or down movement it seems like it's tilting the whole view..

gesture upwards = tilting counter clockwise
gesture downwards = tilting clockwise
