Your use case

Will later updates to element-x-android resolve compatibility issues with some Android devices? I've found that my MagicOS Android phone cannot use the newer versions of element-x-android; when initiating a video call, a "Join as guest" pop-up appears. My phone is running Honor MagicOS, Android version 13, and is forcibly using Honor WebView.

There are incompatibilities with some WebView components that are quite outdated in some devices, and the VOIP team is aware of those and there are some PRs trying to fix them: element-hq/element-call#3905
