Img gur custom upload

If we could save in our own private imggur account that would be great. I do not want to make my images to be made public.

Or if we could upload and share imgs in services like Mega would be great.

Hello.
Linking your imgur account with the app is possible. I will try to add that in the end of this month.
What platform are you on? Android or iOS?
And about public visibility for current images: they are only visible if someone has a direct link to them. But they don't appear on main page of imgur.com.

I am using IOS. If we can link with private account thats better. And I want to upload image as visibility hidden. And I will be able to delete the images later in future as well.

How about having images in free cloud storing services like Mega.nz, Cloudinary, dropbox or ftp and be able to share it? It would be a great feature to have it.

Or may be your own custom upload to your own web server like sharex(https://getsharex.com/) does in windows.

All those cloud services require accounts and I am not sure about their survivability in the future.
Imgur on the other hand is always online, lets things work without an account and that is the main reason it is superior than the other services.
Most of the people don't need to store screenshots on their accounts. Just shoot, share and forget. That is the main point of the app.
But saving on an account as an option is good. So as I said will try to implement it in the near future.
And I am not going to set up my own server because I am very pleased with what Imgur offers.

@entdark I did not mean you host the server.

I have my own http server with REST api, which can accept Images in POST body. So the app could just be configured to my api.

Or even sFTP also it will just be file upload to my ftp server. For these two services you do not to work with any cloud services.

But no worries, it is is just an idea and I know it will take time to develop and manage. Thanks anyways.
