Darko on Replies Inconsistent

Hi,

Not sure what's possible with this addon but used to have the Darko icon on reply messages composer.
Now disappeared, so can't acivate on HTML formatted emails with backgrounds.

Any tips gratefully received.

Hello,
I'm not sure what you mean.
The Darko is active only the "message window", where the received email message is displayed.
Once you click "Reply" and "Compose window" is opened, Darko is no longer active. Thunderbird is managing dark mode in the compose windows automatically (and not always correctly). When this happens, I use "Ctrl + A" to make the text visible :), terrible though.

Would it be possible to enable Darko on reply message windows?
The above comment about TB's built-in dark mode being terrible (on replies) is absolutely right. The message is not dark and the text is often invisible, and Ctrl A doesn't always work for all text.

I can't really imagine how it would work, without collision with the native dark mode.
This really should be reported to Thunderbird and let them fix it.

Note that Darko may disappear completely in the future since Thunderbird is now preparing native "Dark Reader" that will work also in the message window. It was mentioned in the release notes last week:

I've tested it briefly in Nightly and it works quite well, even better than my Darko...
