Manually search public thumbnail library

There are a few websites where the main URL is part of another one, like whatever.github.io or whatever.visualstudio.com. Or where I might want a different thumbnail for whatever reason. It'd be nice if I could search the public library myself instead of relying on just the URL.

Hello,
I remember this issue and I remember I wanted to allow to use images also from the parent domain, but there was some issue with that.
But checking it now, I don't see why it shouldn't work, including the search, although for search I would need to upgrade my server.
I'm putting this on my todo list.
