Hello,
Since version 1.5.8.5, my antivirus software has been consistently placing client.exe in quarantine. Everything worked smoothly up to version 1.5.8.3, but after upgrading to 1.5.8.5 and newer versions, the issue started appearing.

Is there any reason why this file is now being flagged as a threat?

this happends from time to time.. its a false positive on some of the code, cause there is possible todo a connection to dropbox for the settings files... this makes AV think its a hack

But this is nothing new compared to previous versions — Dropbox has always been included (at least for as long as I’ve been using it), and this is the first time my antivirus has flagged it.

Is there any workaround to disable Dropbox if it’s actually the cause of the issue?

as long as the code is in the file, it will keep happening is what i understand of the issue.. if it can be done in another way, where it doesn't happen, i have no idea about that

Unfortunately, that’s not an option. The antivirus is centrally managed, and I don’t have permission to add any exceptions.
