Feature Request: Version 2 of Frappe Lending compatible with ERPNext/Frappe v16

Summary

Frappe Lending currently only supports version-1 which is compatible with Frappe/ERPNext version-15. There is no stable branch available for version-16 users.

Problem

Many users and implementors are now migrating to ERPNext v16 (EOL planned end of 2029). However, Frappe Lending has no compatible release for v16, leaving loan management functionality unavailable for v16 deployments.

The official supported versions page at https://frappe.io/support-versions confirms:

There is no version-2 or any v16-compatible branch listed.

Request

• Release a version-2 branch of Frappe Lending compatible with Frappe/ERPNext version-16
• Update the supported versions page once available
• Provide a migration path for existing Lending v1 (v15) data to v2 (v16)

Environment

• ERPNext: v16.x
• Frappe: v16.x
• HRMS: v16.x
• Lending: v1 (v15 only — no v16 branch available)

Impact

All users upgrading from v15 → v16 who use the Lending module are blocked or forced to run an unsupported develop branch, which is not suitable for production.

Please consider prioritizing a stable v16-compatible release of Frappe Lending.
