2027: Systemcore Alpha / Beta Releases

If it is useful to enough people, it would be nice to have separate packages / options that could define if you are using 2027 early access tooling. In the meantime, I can just override attributes though :) Just wanted to suggest this for everyone if its useful!

That's not a bad idea! Do you think that should just be a sub branch (ex systemcore-beta.advantagescope)? Or is there a better pattern?

A sub-branch is fine! I tried to package AdvantageScope by just overriding the src and version attributes, but the patches are no longer compatible, so I'm just packaging an AppImage currently, which would make something more permanent great, as AppImages dont scale well on my hidpi wayland laptop :)

Seconding a branch, e.g. systemcore-beta, then this would be easily usable by changing your flake input to github:frc4451/frc-nix/systemcore-beta.

I think they should be separate packages though, that way users can install both the current version, and the 2027 version, for easy switching between them. They could just have a different desktop file / name.

Currently it is actually in alpha, however a beta will be coming fairly soon.
