Instead of running 24/7 from a resource consumption perspective it makes sense to run either when the user in using the node or periodically (e.g. to check F2F messages, or in the context of a chat application).

I'd like the node to either run when I open the application to navigate / check messages etc. This will also mean that the "Start/Stop" functionally becomes implicit in the use. The application needs to redo it's UI to be content-first either by including FMS/Sone/Chat app etc.
