Options to download as .DOCX or .TXT?

Thank you very much for publishing the scripts. It works like a charm. Would it be possible as well to download the files as .DOCX or .TXT? Perhaps this can be done by processing the downloaded PDFs and converting them to the intended file formats.

Thanks for the suggestion. TXT extraction is technically possible for documents that contain a selectable text layer, but many Scribd documents are rendered as page images and would require OCR. DOCX conversion is also difficult to perform reliably because the original document structure and formatting are not available after rendering.

I’ll keep this as an enhancement request. A future implementation could offer optional plain-text extraction, with a warning that image-based documents require an additional OCR dependency. Reliable DOCX output is currently outside the downloader’s scope.
