Feature Request: Filename/Directory Obfuscation and Folder Migration

Hi,

Nice project ; It works great and I've successfully tested it on Windows. The setup is very straightforward and easy to use.

However, I noticed that within the "secure_volume" folder, the entire file tree and all filenames remain visible in plain text. While the file content are protected, exposing the directory structure and filename can leak some datas.

Would it be possible to implement :
-> Filename encryption/obfuscation
-> Directory structure hiding
?

This would be a great addition to the privacy features of this tool :)

Also, as a nice features, you could implement something for folder migration :
Not encrypted -> encrypted and the opposite

Thank you for your feedback and for testing the project on Windows. I’m glad to hear the setup was straightforward for you.

Regarding your suggestions, I have actually been actively working on filename obfuscation and directory structure hiding for the past few days. I agree that protecting metadata is a critical addition for privacy.

Regarding the "folder migration" feature, could you clarify your idea? If you are referring to an Import/Export function to move files in and out of the secure volume, I'm wondering how it would differ from a standard "cut and paste" by the user. Do you have a specific workflow in mind that would make a built-in migration tool more useful than manual handling?

Hi,

Regarding the folder migration feature: yes, manual copy/paste does work, but it can become time-consuming and a bit tedious in practice.
What I had in mind is more of a streamlined, built-in workflow. For example:
-> I have an existing folder with many files and subfolders
-> I launch the executable and choose something like “Migrate this folder into a secure volume”
-> I enter the password
-> The tool automatically creates a secure_volume and imports everything into it in one step

This will make the process faster more user friendly especially if you have have multiple drive/folder to secure
