Outdated congressional districts in "data/zip_to_cd.rda" #29
Description
The zip_to_cd.rda file contains outdated zip code/congressional district relationships. The referenced file can be found at the following link: https://github.com/gavinrozzi/zipcodeR/blob/e94fd72a6a3dfff28d90a0702204850078264aaa/data/zip_to_cd.rda.
I believe that the data currently in this package is of congressional districts drawn using the 2010 Census. Those district mappings were updated after the 2020 Census beginning with the 118th Congress.
The Census posted new relationship files at this page: https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/relationship-files.2020.html. A new relational database of zip codes to congressional districts can be found in the "National 2020 118th Congressional District to 2020 Zip Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA) Relationship File".
