I think this is probably deprecated by the go-import meta tag, which handles this redirection in a better way. This is what we use already:

I didn't do much research though I thought it was curious that we were supporting redirection on every url rather than just specific urls like gvisor.dev/gvisor

FWIW a cursory look says that govanityurls uses the meta tag too but does some better cache control stuff, etc.

It's also not very usable in the sense that you have to fork the code since it doesn't export a handler you can import. So I don't think it's worth using but it was useful to look at.

Maybe for us just doing redirection for specific urls (or urls with a specific base path) would be good though.
