Over the past few years, the Indian education sector has seen the birth of a parallel education
system within itself which is competitive coaching. The students are largely attracted to the
competitive world and want to face new challenges and achieve unconventional targets. It goes
without saying, that in this high-pressure environment student needs to be fully and regularly
updated with all his curriculum and academic resources without delay.
The problems that almost every student face are:

1. A student has to go to different teachers to fetch assignments of different chapters which become
   very time consuming sometimes.
2. When a student is done with his assignments, he has to then go on a quest to find the solutions to
   these problems.
3. To get the material from teachers and classmates, students start using social media for sharing like
   WhatsApp group chat, which causes a distraction. So, there is a need for something exclusively for
   this purpose.
4. Different students have different levels of understanding. Though most of the coaching institutes
   divide them into different batches, there is no such division in the study material distributed to
   students. So highest level questions set is given to a mediocre as well as a topper student.
5. Test timings, updates, syllabus of tests, venue etc. are many times not communicated well to
   students.
6. While doing assignments a student faces doubts that range from minor to major. For minor
   doubts, he has to go to the teacher each time.
7. There are many national and international tests that students are not informed at the right time.
   This lack of information is very harmful sometimes.
8. Parents are not able to know the performance report of their child in various tests properly.

We have come up with an idea to solve all the above problems using an integrated app which we call
PATHSHALA

Features:

1. A student is provided a unique password for logging in the app and it identifies the batch and
   profile of that student has been assigned by the Institute and student is then redirected to the
   corresponding chatroom where teachers of his own batch can interact with students.
2. Teachers will be given admin accounts for the same purpose.
3. The study resources allotted to a particular batch is uploaded to those particular students who are
   in that batch. Answers to assignments are also given.
4. There will be a separate chat box for doubts from teachers which will, of course, be spam free
   unlike WhatsApp and other media.
   There will be a chatroom where all students are interconnected. Someone can post a query. Multiple
   other students can either give an answer to that query or upvote an existing answer.
5. Noticeboard room is there which provides updates about the students of a particular batch. i.e. if
   an extra class is scheduled for only 3rd batch students then only those students would be informed.
6. There will be a separate noticeboard for Overall notices, like common test schedules. Information
   about national tests, etc.
7. There will be a window exclusively for Test analysis and comprehensive performance report. This
   will be made accessible by parents also by using parent’s password.
