PX Network Activity Standalone

Standalone LSPosed network activity monitor for Android 16 SystemUI, initially targeted at a Pixel 8 Pro running Infinity-X.

This project is an independent implementation inspired by PixelXpert's Network Activity Monitor UX. It does not require PixelXpert.

v1.0.2-alpha3

  • Two-line or one-line upload/download traffic layout
  • Adjustable text size from 4–24 sp
  • Adjustable two-line spacing
  • Adjustable arrow-to-speed spacing
  • Adjustable one-line upload/download spacing
  • Adjustable vertical offset for precise status-bar centering
  • Tabular numerals to reduce visual width jitter while rates change
  • Separate upload and download colors
  • PixelXpert-aligned default colors: upload red (#FF0000), download green (#00FF00)
  • Colorization toggle
  • 1 second sampling using Android TrafficStats
  • Optional idle hiding
  • SystemUI-only LSPosed scope
  • GitHub Actions APK build and tagged-release workflow

Infinity-X setup

  1. Disable Infinity-X's built-in Network Monitor.
  2. Install/update the APK.
  3. In LSPosed, enable PX Network Activity and scope it only to System UI (com.android.systemui).
  4. Reboot or restart SystemUI after installation/update.
  5. Open the app to tune layout, spacing, colors, size and vertical offset.

PixelXpert-aligned defaults

PixelXpert's NetworkTraffic.java initializes download to Color.GREEN and upload to Color.RED. Alpha3 therefore defaults to:

  • Upload: #FF0000
  • Download: #00FF00

If upgrading from alpha1/alpha2, the old shipped color pair is migrated to these values only when both colors still exactly match the old defaults. Custom user colors are preserved.

Suggested starting display settings

  • Text size: 15 sp
  • Two-line layout
  • Line spacing: 0.85
  • Arrow gap: 1 space
  • Vertical offset: 0 dp

If the monitor looks slightly low on Infinity-X, try a vertical offset of -1 or -2 dp.

GitHub Actions

Every push to main/master builds a debug APK and stores it as a workflow artifact. Tags matching v* also create a GitHub Release and attach the APK.
