Hard mode: request for synthesis

looking to synthesize something with ass in hard mode, I removed the m from lime to create a lie.  But the synthesizer would not make a lassie out of lie and ass.  is there something not allowable about this creation?  If not, can someone add this?  I am just a player and have no idea how to code.
