Request: give me the 💀💣 option

When I downloaded my Takeout for Google Photos it was 30GB of ZIP files, so I had to remove a lot of installed programs (and games) to even have room to extract them. When I finally got that and ran MetaSort it said:

Input folder size: 294.43 GB
Recommended free space: 883.30 GB

That recommended space is larger than my SSD, so I had to use a USB3 external drive. It took half a day just to copy everything over in the first step.
I would have preferred to run MetaSort on the actual data and not copy it.
I get that's dangerous, but I have the zip files as a backup.

Maybe, if I specify input and output the same, you could show a confirmation/disclaimer and work on the live data?

--input "/path/to/folder" --output "/path/to/folder"

Unless you can come up with some other "low storage mode"?
