It’s extremely convenient when the system stores your last X queries (or queries over X days(which is better, imo)), automatically deduplicates the results, and provides fuzzy search across them (speaking as an active Splunk user).
This is much more convenient than maintaining a pile of bookmarks (as it seems to be now, from what I understand) for the queries you need.
