Vessel Details
For data corrections for Vessel Details, VD, the following combination of fields will overwrite previous uploaded data:
• Sampling country
• Year’
During RDBES upload
When uploading vessels/Vessel Details (VD) data no related sample data will be deleted. New vessels/VD records will be inserted/added to the list of Vessels (Vessel Details). Vessels from the uploaded file that already exist in the RDBES (from previous VD uploads) will be updated, if there is a difference between the vessel details in the uploaded file and the vessel details in the RDBES (having the same Country, year and Encrypted Vessel Code). Potential sample data related to the updated vessels VDs will stay unchanged, still linking up to the now updated VD record. The following will be executed:
Number of updated vessels (Vessel Details): 310
If there is no difference between an uploaded VD and the existing VD in the database, then nothing will happen for those vessels/VD records. Therefore it is only relevant upload vessels with changes to the vessel details or new vessels. If vessels need to be deleted go to the menu point ‘Data Handling’ and ‘Delete Data’
