This issue tracks a feature/example request derived from the discussion in #1.
The original issue primarily concerns a support request, which is handled via a separate support channel. However, it also includes a request for an additional example that could be useful to a wider range of users.
“Is it possible to add a multi camera example > 6, with low frame rate and software trigger?”
Requested Example
A general-purpose multi-camera reference example demonstrating:
- Use of more than 6 cameras (e.g. 7–10+)
- Scalable camera initialization and management
- Proper bandwidth configuration (e.g.
DeviceLinkThroughputLimit)
- Reliable and stable image acquisition across all cameras
Optional aspects that could be shown or documented as variants:
- Software-triggered acquisition
- Low frame rate operation
- Notes on timing, synchronization, and timestamp handling
Such an example would help users validate correct configuration for larger multi-camera setups and avoid common pitfalls related to bandwidth limits, triggering modes, and system scalability.
This sub-issue is not intended for troubleshooting the reported error, but solely to track the request for an official multi-camera example.
