[Feature]: Add predefined window layout presets #7

Description

@MAAB-FW

Problem

Deja Window provides many options for configuring window restoration behavior. This is powerful, but it can be cumbersome to manually configure every option when someone simply wants a familiar window-management behavior.

For example, users coming from Windows may want windows to behave more like the Windows window restoration system without having to understand and configure each individual Deja Window option.

Proposed solution

Add predefined window layout presets/templates containing sensible combinations of the existing Deja Window settings.

For example:

  • Windows-like — restores windows in a way that feels similar to Windows.
  • Default — current/default Deja Window behavior.
  • More presets could be added later for other common workflows.

The user could simply select a preset instead of manually configuring multiple settings.

Example

A user could select:

Settings → Presets → Windows-like

Deja Window would then automatically apply the relevant configuration for that behavior.

Users should still be able to customize individual options after selecting a preset.

Benefits

  • Faster setup for common use cases.
  • Makes Deja Window easier for new users.
  • Reduces the need to understand every configuration option.
  • Provides an easy way to switch between different window-management behaviors.
  • Keeps the existing advanced customization options available.

Additional idea

Presets could potentially be implemented as named loadouts/templates, making it easy to add more predefined behaviors in the future without changing the underlying configuration system.
