pycurl is not really used

It seems, pycurl is only used for checking if it is available but nothing else...

I guess this could be removed completely.

Where is the code with the pycurl removed?
Please, checkout the latest master and create a separate fix-branch from it with your changes linked to this issue (just refer to #22 in the commit message) and a submitt a merge request.
