[Bug]: Sticky folder header in Files sidebar cannot be collapsed by clicking #846

Description

Preflight

  • I searched existing issues and this isn't a duplicate
  • I'm on the latest version (or I've noted my version below)

What happened?

In the Files sidebar, when a large folder (e.g. Topics/, ~100+ notes) is expanded and you scroll partway down its children, the folder's header row sticks to the top of the sidebar (sticky positioning). This is the expected behaviour and useful for orientation.

However, clicking the folder row while it is in this stuck state does not collapse the folder. Clicking the same row when it is at its natural position in the list (not stuck) collapses the folder as expected. The chevron and row highlight render identically in both states, so the row looks interactive but silently ignores the click.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Expand a folder with enough children to overflow the sidebar (e.g. Topics/).
  2. Scroll down within the sidebar until the folder header pins to the top.
  3. Click the pinned folder row (or its chevron).
